Why views

The cheapest number to move

Lowest cost per thousand

Views are the least expensive Facebook service here by a wide margin. For putting visible weight behind a video, nothing else comes close on price.

Ordered per video

You paste the link to one video or Reel and the views land there. Nothing touches your page, profile, or any other post.

Separate from watch time

A view counts that someone started the video. Watch time counts the minutes they stayed. They are sold apart because they measure different things and move independently.

Use cases

When views are the right order

A new upload

The first hours matter most for how far a video travels. Early views give it visible traction while it is still being shown to people.

Reels

Short video is where view counts are read most aggressively, because the number sits right on the thumbnail as people scroll.

A back catalogue

Older videos sitting at low counts drag down how a page reads overall. Views are cheap enough to lift several at once.

Before promoting

A video you are about to put spend behind should not look ignored when people arrive on it.

Guide

How Facebook views work

The view count is the number people use to decide whether a video is worth their time, and it sits on the thumbnail before anyone has watched a second of it. That makes it the cheapest useful signal on a video.

Views against watch time

These are two different products and it is worth being clear which you need. A view records that playback started. Watch time records the minutes accumulated across everyone who watched.

If the goal is a video that looks popular, order views, because they are far cheaper. If the goal is the minutes Facebook measures on longer content, watch time is the product that moves that number.

Videos and Reels

Both take the same kind of order: paste the link to the single video and set a quantity. Reels tend to benefit more visibly, because the count is shown as people scroll past rather than only on the video's own page.

Keeping the video reachable

The video has to stay public for the whole order. Changing its audience, unpublishing it, or deleting it partway through stops delivery, and the remainder cannot be delivered to a link that no longer works.

The same applies to editing: replacing the video rather than editing its description can change the link, which leaves the order pointing at nothing.

Pacing on a new upload

Delivery is spread across a window rather than arriving at once. On a fresh upload this matters more than usual, because a count that climbs steadily through the first day looks like the video is being watched, which is the entire point.
