Why are my Instagram comments hidden or limited after an order?

Short answer

Instagram can limit who comments on a post and hides some comments automatically. Before you order, open Settings, then Comments under How others can interact with you, and let everyone comment. Check Hidden Words too. A hidden comment still counts in the total, but nobody else sees it.

Who can comment

Everyone can comment by default. To check, go to your Settings on Instagram and select Comments under How others can interact with you. If comments are limited to People you follow, Your followers, or both, new comments from other accounts cannot land.

A private account only allows comments from Your followers or Followers you follow back. Keep the account public while the order runs.

Commenting turned off on the post

Commenting can be turned off for a single post, reel or story. If it is off on the post you are ordering for, turn it back on first.

Comments Instagram hides on its own

  • Hide unwanted commentsHides comments with common offensive words, phrases or emojis. Ordinary comments are not affected.

  • Custom words and phrasesUnder Hidden Words, anything on your list is hidden from comments. Remove words your custom comments will use.

Hidden comments are still included in your total comment count, and the person who wrote them is not told. That is why the count can rise while you see fewer comments.

Unhide a comment

  1. Open the post in the Instagram app.
  2. At the bottom of the comment section, tap View hidden comments.
  3. Tap Unhide under the comment you want to show.

Before you confirm

Check every detail before you confirm. An order placed with the wrong information is still delivered against what you entered and is marked completed, and it cannot be refunded.

Questions

The comment count went up but I see fewer comments. Why?

Instagram counts hidden comments in the total. Check View hidden comments at the bottom of the comment section, and your Hidden Words list.

Can I order comments for a private account?

No. A private account only takes comments from followers, so the account has to be public while the order runs.

Do comment likes need these settings?

Comment likes add likes to a comment that is already there, so they need that comment to be visible on a public post.
