Why are my TikTok comments not showing after an order?

Short answer

TikTok hides new comments while one of its comment filters is on, or when the video only allows comments from some people. Before you order, open Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then Comments: allow comments from Everyone and switch the comment filters off until the order completes.

Where the comment settings are

  1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
  2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then Settings and privacy.
  3. Tap Privacy, then Comments.

What to set before you order

  • Allow comments fromFollowers and Friends limit comments to people the account already knows. Everyone is only offered on a public account.

  • Filter unwanted commentsWhile it is on, recent comments TikTok reads as offensive or spam stay hidden until you approve them.
    Off
  • Filter all commentsHolds every new comment until you approve it. TikTok does not show this setting on every account.

  • Creator Care ModeHides comments it reads as inappropriate, plus comments that were reported, deleted or disliked before.

  • Filter keywords in commentsA comment that contains one of your keywords stays hidden. Remove any word your ordered comments will use.

Check the video itself

Comments can also be switched off for a single video. Open the video, tap More options (...), then Privacy settings, and make sure Allow comments is on. The video has to be public while the order runs.

Already ordered? Approve what TikTok held

  1. Open Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then Comments.
  2. Tap Review filtered comments.
  3. Tap Approve below each comment you want to show.

Approved comments appear on the video. Then switch the filters off, so the rest of the order shows without waiting for you.

Before you confirm

Check every detail before you confirm. An order placed with the wrong information is still delivered against what you entered and is marked completed, and it cannot be refunded.

Questions

Do I have to approve held comments one by one?

Yes. Review filtered comments shows each held comment with its own Approve and Delete. That is why switching the filters off before you order is faster.

Can I turn the filters back on later?

Yes, once the order shows Completed. Turning a filter on while the order is still running can hold the comments that have not arrived yet.

Do custom comments go through the same filters?

Yes. Every comment option posts new comments, so the same filters apply. A custom comment that contains one of your filtered keywords stays hidden too. See how to write custom comments.
